

Many parts of the church fabric are now in need of urgent repair or replacement. The time has come when we in our turn, to safeguard St James Church for future generations must make the effort of restoring or repairing these parts of the building.

Glazing. Windows are sagging caused by the lead-
Roof & Guttering. Phased repair or replacement of parts of the roof is planned, along side guttering and flashing repairs. The integral Church hall, used by the community has recently had a new roof lining.
Brickwork. Extensive damage to brickwork due to age and the urban environment must be addressed. Soft sandstone is now spalling rapidly and needs to be addressed.
