Welcome to the Home Page of St James Church

The Parish Church of St James is situated approximately
1.5 kilometres west north west of the Town Centre of Northampton
in an area of St James known locally as
'Jimmy's End'.
The Parish of St James has a diverse population, from many ethnic backgrounds
and traditions and has strong ties with other local churches
in the area and St James Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School.
There is a healthy fellowship with surroundings churches of other denominations.
St James is also the home of the Northampton Rugby Football Club, known as 'The Saints who's home ground is just a few hundred metres west of the Church. The Saints was formed at the end of the 19th century by the then curate of St James Church.
Nearby is also the home of the Northampton Town's Football Club, 'The Cobblers' who have their home ground at the Sixfields Stadium two kilometres South West of the Church.
